In this session, I will present a summary of current research findings on instructed second language acquisition drawing mainly from Shawn Loewen’s book, Introduction to Instructed Second Language Acquisition, with an emphasis on instructional techniques and activities that research has shown to be beneficial for second language acquisition in adolescent and adult learners. Participants will have an opportunity to apply the information to create activities for their classes. Sample activities will be provided.
